  1. Assess and strengthen MHub’s online engagement and social media utilization to engage target audiences and disseminate information on mixed migration.
  2. Preparation of a short assessment report on the current visibility, usability and effectiveness of Mhub’s social media accounts and website, including recommendations for improvement. (Report template will be provided)
  3. Produce a short 3-5 mapping report listing by key English and Arabic social media sites/accounts/groups that engage in the issue of mixed migration, to through and from North Africa and Key English and Arabic social media sites/accounts/groups used by migrants, refugees and asylum seekers travelling to, through and from North Africa.

  4. Development of a Social Media Strategy and a 6 month Action Plan. This includes defining targets to measure the success of the social media strategy .

  5. Preparation of a social media calendar to schedule online engagement activities for a period of three months that will be managed by MHub.

  6. Utilize tools and software to expand the visibility and reach of MHub’s social media accounts.

  7. Establish social media connections with relevant development partners (governments, international organizations, academia). pan

  8. Ensure content linkages between MHub social

  9. Conduct training for Mhub staff on management of website and social media accounts and prepare guidelines document for social media engagement

Education

  • University degree in Social Science and/or Communications or related studies.

Experience

  • Relevant experience in communications, social media and web content management.
  • Experience in developing and implementing social media strategies for UN agencies, NGOs and/or government institutions.
  • Familiarity with international migration matters relevant to North Africa.
  • Prior work experience with IOM and/or United Nations agencies would be an advantage
