Organizational Scope & Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of the Policy, Governance and Liaison and direct
supervision of the National Programme Support Officer (Capacity Building), the incumbent will
support the Policy, Governance and Liaison Unit and be responsible for the following tasks:
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Support capacity building initiatives, including trainings, seminars, conferences and
curriculum development. - Review collected data and information and map the identified conditions and needs in
support of capacity building initiatives, project development and reporting. - Support the development and production of information products for capacity building and
knowledge management. - Provide technical support to all units in the development, implementation and evaluation of
data and information management activities; identify related problems and issues to be
addressed and proposes alternatives solutions; liaise with relevant parties; programme
formulation, methodology design and operational set up of data collection exercises. - Support the design and development of new capacity building initiatives including
information technology and applications.

management subjects of interest to the Office - Maintain strong contacts and participate at selected meetings, events and interagency
working groups. - Support the Policy, Governance and Liaison Unit in project development, reporting, donor
liaison, monitoring and evaluation and capacity building. - Perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in political science, Social Sciences, Business Administration,
International Relations, Development Studies, Migration and Refugee studies or any
related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant
professional experience; or,
Secondary School Education with five years of relevant professional experience.
Experience with MiMOSA, Microsoft ACCESS and SQL are desirable; and
Experience with visualization tools is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
