Talent Management (TM) is seen as a priority within the Organization and falls under the responsibility of the Human Resources Management (HRM) Division. Talent management plays an important role in our business strategy as it manages one of the important assets of the Organization—its people; by attracting top talents and skilled employees across board.

The IOM Internship Programme targets young, talented undergraduate and graduate students, willing to gain practical experience in a field relevant to the Organization through their full involvement in daily working activities in migration-related areas and/or in public international administration.
In order to attain higher client satisfaction, the TM Unit would like to meet internal and external clients’ needs in a rapid and efficient manner to improve business performance. The intern will contribute to the work of the Unit by supporting in the administration of auxiliary staffing with tasks ranging from analysis, re-design, monitoring and administering the processes involved in the management and administration of auxiliary staff.
Supervision
The Intern will work under the guidance and direct supervision of the Talent Management Associate, under the overall supervision of the Head, Talent Management Unit and in cooperation with other colleagues of the Talent Management Unit, relevant Field Offices and IOM Headquarters.

Under the direct supervision of the Talent Management Associate, and in accordance with the overall direction of the Head, Talent Management Unit the successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Support in the review of auxiliary staff projects and programmes i.e. Syni programme, various Internship projects and programmes. Sampling review tools and mechanisms. etc.
Support in the redesign of the internship webpage both on the internet and intranet to make it more user friendly i.e. easily accessible to all users, well planned information architecture, well-formatted content that Is easy to scan through, effective navigation
Support in updating relevant documents i.e. intern welcome guide, info bulletin etc.
Support in creating an effective filing system which facilitates accessibility to records when required.
Support in the maintenance of auxiliary staff data in a shared drive.
Support in the hiring and onboarding of auxiliary staff as and when needed.
Perform other duties as may be assigned
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education
• University degree in any of the following fields: Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Change management, Communication, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
Experience
• Ability to draft proficiently in English;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team of colleagues of varied cultural and professional backgrounds;
• Practical experience of how to multi-task, prioritize and work independently;
• Can proficiently use MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);
• Ability to carry out graphics and design (desirable);
• Results oriented;
• Ability to keep matters strictly confidential and exercise good discretion in using information.
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of French or Spanish is a distinct advantage.

Eligibility and Selection
In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who:
a) have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM
programmes and activities;
b) are either students approaching the end of their studies and preparing a thesis, or recently graduated, who have less than two years of relevant working experience.
