Under the overall supervision of the Regional Director and the direct supervision of the Regional Policy and Liaison Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall administrative and programmatic support in the day-to-day functions of the staff of the IOM Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa. In particular s/he will:***Core functions/ responsibilities***

  1. Support the Regional Office in the coordination, drafting and editing of documents, in coordination with the Regional Thematic Specialists and the Regional Liaison and Policy Officer.

2.Update and maintain the project tracking sheet and other tracking systems that may be put in place, in coordination with the Regional Thematic Specialists.

3.Systematically monitor calls for proposals and manage other information related to donors and funding opportunities on behalf of the Regional Office.

4.Support Regional Office public information activities, including compiling relevant information about migration and IOM’s work to respond to requests for information, producing public information materials, and maintaining social media and web presence (including in Arabic), in collaboration with the RO Public Information and Reporting Officer, the Regional Liaison and Policy Officer, and relevant Regional Thematic Specialists

5.Help maintain the MENA Activities Database and compile data for the MENA annual report and other documents, in collaboration with the Regional Liaison and Policy Officer, the RO Research Officer and RO Public Information and Reporting Officer.

6.Assist in the planning, coordination and organization of internal and external events such as conferences, meetings, teleconferences and workshops; including logistical arrangements.

7.Assist Regional Office staff with administrative procedures, such as travel requests, purchase requisitions, payment requests, bids and recruitment processes.

8.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
