Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- In close collaboration with the MHub Coordinator, develop and oversee the implementation
of the MHub research agenda. - Oversee the design of research methodologies for various MHub research outputs guided
by appropriate and ethical methodologies. - Oversee and undertake research, literature reviews and develop other advocacy outputs
as per the agreed research agenda. - Ensure quality control of MHub products including the website content, monthly trend
bulletins, information sheets, internally produced and externally commissioned research
pieces and any other incidental research outputs. - Supervise the research assistant and data base manager and others as needed for the
fulfilment of MHub work plans, in collaboration with the MHub Coordinator. - Design modalities for the effective collation and analysis of relevant data on regional
migratory flows, migration policy and management, and humanitarian concerns in the
MENA region. - At the request of the MHub Coordinator, representing MHub at internal and external
meetings and events. - Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Master’s degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Law, International Policy,
International Development or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
Four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
Familiarity with international migration matters relevant to North Africa.
Previous research experience and demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely.
Previous experience in working with information and data analysis in the context of
complex mixed migration phenomena.
Experience with data analysis software (SPSS, STATA, Atlas)
